A middle-aged male professor hears a knock on his office door. After a brief moment of fumbling, he opens it to find an elderly man, who greets him with a wide grin and says:
“May I come in? I worked here in this very room thirty years ago when I was a professor at this college.”
“Of course!” the professor responds. “Please, come in!”
The elderly man steps inside and surveys the room, nostalgia filling his eyes. “The same room, the same wooden table, the ventilator, and the same old window opening to the garden. Even the desk is unchanged.”
As he inspects the desk, his gaze falls upon a young woman crouching underneath it.
The professor quickly reacts, flustered, “Oh, don’t misunderstand. She’s my daughter. She dropped her earring and is looking for it.”
The old man chuckles, “And the same old story…”
